HCV care support needed in vulnerable communities

A recent article by MedPage Today provides commentary and perspective on the December publication by our group in the Annals of Internal Medicine. F. Blaine Hollinger MD, at the Eugene B. Casey Hepatitis Research Center at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston offers commentary on the rates of chronic infection and identifies what we view as a major takeaway from the study: “[The results show] the difficulty in general practice of getting a program like this moving. But the more we talk about it and explain it and the more people understand what it is trying to achieve, the better the results will become.”
